Runie, Owner

Runie has owned Air Control Systems since it opened it’s doors in 1985. He got his start in the business in his early twenties after four years in the Navy. He worked for a business in Atlanta, Georgia while he attended college at Emory and Georgia State. After graduation, he worked full-time in the business, opening Multemp Services, Inc., a heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration company, in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1981, he sold the company and moved to Jacksonville. After a few years in the city, he opened Air Control Systems, Inc. and has been a “hands on” owner ever since. He is also a NATE certified technician, just as all of our technicians are. Runie is always available to take your calls and concerns. He always enjoys talking to his customers.

Susan, Office Manager

Susan has worked for Air Control Systems for 17 years. She is our “do it all” person. Other than installing or repairing an actual unit, she pretty much does all of the office mechanics. She is usually the first to answer the phones, schedule your appointment, and keep the technicians where they should be and when they should be there. If it is on paper or computer related, ask Susan. She’ll have the answer or find the answer for you.

Matt, Operations Manager

Air Control Systems is lucky to have Matt. He joined the company as a teenager, still in high school, working part-time. After finishing his education with a Bachelors in Political Science and a Masters in Business Administration, he decided to join the team full time. There was just something about grease on his hands and under the nails that appealed to Matt. He has always been excellent at taking motors and engines apart to find any problems and repairing any issues.  Matt has been with Air Control Systems for more than 10 years and is a NATE certified technician, as all the technicians are.  In addition, there is no stopping him on a computer. From building his own computer to programming, he does it all.  He is also an avid motorcyclist. So make sure to wave if you see him around town on his BMW. He is known to take to the road at any time.
